I’m a fiction writer who believes that reading and drinking go together like bourbon and bitters, like citrus and sugar. Through examining artfully crafted narratives and cocktails I hope to reveal something useful and exciting. I call this Reading & Drinking, or R & D, and I look forward to you joining me. Writing

In my personal writing, I explore memory and its contextualization through retelling as identity alongside relationships and what we keep from one another during moments when life bottlenecks, and what or who comes through to the other side is revealed or changed. I also write an awful lot about dogs, have an unapologetic fondness for dinosaurs, and know a little something about spirits and some ways to imbibe them. You might call these craft cocktails or you could call them drinks. Either way, they pair well with a good story or poem, or a close few friends.
